Dr Marcus Chen completed his Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medical Science at Monash University. He undertook his junior doctor training within the Peninsula Health network before obtaining Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Marcus enjoys all aspects of general practice and is passionate about delivering personalised, patient-centred care. He has particular interests in preventative health, paediatrics, chronic disease management and mental health, with a strong focus on empowering patients to better understand and take control of their long-term health and wellbeing.
Marcus is committed to building supportive, collaborative relationships with his patients and believes in providing clear, evidence-based guidance to help people make informed healthcare decisions.
In addition to English, Marcus can speak Cantonese and Mandarin.
Alongside his clinical work, Marcus is passionate about medical education and has worked as a MD1 associate lecturer in the University of Melbourne and RACGP supervisor for training GPs.
Outside of medicine, Marcus enjoys lead climbing and basketball, reading and having a good laugh with his young family.
