Dr. Jo Hur is an experienced and compassionate GP with a special interest in women’s health, child health, and skin cancer medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Surgery and Medical Science at the University of Melbourne and holds a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Otago, New Zealand.
Dr. Jo has worked extensively across a wide range of medical fields including paediatrics, emergency medicine, obstetrics & gynaecology, geriatrics, anaesthetics, and oncology. This broad experience allows her to bring a holistic perspective to her general practice care.
She has undertaken further training in child health, women’s health, IUD insertion, and dermoscopy for skin cancer detection, ensuring her patients receive the most up-to-date and evidence-based care. Dr. Jo also plays an active role in mentoring the next generation of doctors, supervising students from both Monash and Melbourne University.
Dr. Jo is passionate about providing thoughtful, thorough, and patient-centred care. She has a warm and approachable style that makes patients feel supported and empowered in their health decisions.

Outside of medicine, if not busy chasing around her two young girls, she will be training on becoming a long distance runner. Health, after all remains her biggest priority.
